Can I install my one Surfulater license on my home PC and my work PC?

Yes. As of version 3.0, you can install Surfulater on up to five computers for the same user, for example your home computer, work computer and laptop. However, you may not install it for different users on different computers. Sharing a license between people is, well, a really bad idea.

What is your upgrade policy?

All updates to the current version number are free, while major upgrades are provided at a 50% discount for existing users. For example, if you bought 3.0, every 3.x update will be free for you. Additionally, 4.0 will be available at 50% off. Finally, anyone who bought a version within 90 calendar days of the release of another major version will receive a free upgrade. For example, if you bought 3.0 on January 20th, and 4.0 is released on February 28th, you will receive 4.0 for free.

What is the Surfulater Free Reader?

The Surfulater Free Reader enables anyone to view Surfulater Knowledge Bases without having to purchase Surfulater. It is one way of sharing your Knowledge Bases with colleagues and friends.

There is no separate Free Reader program, simply get your colleagues to download and install Surfulater. They will have full access to all Surfulater features during the trial period. When the trial period ends, Surfulater will switch to Free Reader mode.

Can I restart my free trial period?

Yes of course. We want to give you every opportunity to fully evaluate Surfulater. Simply UnInstall Surfulater and delete the My Documents\My Surfulater folder. Be aware that this deletes your existing Knowledge Base, so ensure there is nothing important in it first.

Next use Start|Run|Regedit, and go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Soft As It Gets\Surfulater and delete this key. Then install the latest Surfulater release and your free trial will start over.
